Hurt Like Hell

By Glen

I woke up at 3 in the morning with cold sweat running down my forehead. It seems that I had slept through most of my contractions. I could tell that I was not going to make it to the hospital in time. The bad news was that my husband was on a business trip, because we weren't expecting the baby for another three weeks.

By the time I calmed myself down with a hot cup of tea, I was on my hands and knees screaming my brains out. I eventually got up and walked in the bathroom. I filled the tub up with hot water and got in to help ease the pain. It didn't work. I was ready to drown myself!

I started shaking and spread my legs as wide as I could. I bore down as hard as I possibly could. After four hours of pushing I thought I was going to die. Nothing was happening.

My husband was only supposed to be gone for two days, and he was flying home that night. Apparently I was making A LOT of noise. One of the neighbors came over and let himself in after hearing me screaming help for five minutes.

He found me in the bathroom. He got on top of me and put his hand in my vagina and attempted to pull the baby's head out. Let me tell you, it is kind of freaky having a baby while someone that you don't know is feeling around in your vagina and pulling your baby out.

It hurt so badly I kicked him right in the face. While apologizing, I tried to get out of the tub, into the bed and screamed. I had no idea what to do.

All of a sudden the contractions got so strong that I was thrown back. I pushed as hard as I could, and the head popped out. After everything started going well, the shoulders got stuck. So he put his hands inside me and pulled so hard I fainted from all of the pain.

Five minutes later I woke up. All that was left were the legs. So I pushed with all of my might, and the baby slipped out of me. And I threw up for some reason.

No wonder it hurt so much. The baby weighed 12 pounds! But it was worth it.
