New House
Hi, I'm Sara and I'm 23, and my husband is 25. When I found out I was pregnant I was so happy! The OB/GYN told me my due date was July 25. I was upset because my niece made ALL-STARS and was flying down to Mississippi July 20.

I was overdue by eight days August 2 and I was bigger than in the beginning of the 9th month. So four days passed and the doctor wanted me to come in. We live about nine miles from a hospital so it took a while.

When we got there I was 2 centimeters dilated! So I went home. My husband left for work around 5 a.m. and the family was coming home. I got stuck watching my 7-month-old niece, the 2-year-old and the 4-year-old. As they got their swimsuits on I got on the deck to watch them in the pool. The 7-month-old started crying, so I got up and fell to my knees as my water broke. Finally I got up and got put her in the swings.

The contractions hadn't started and the girls were dying to go to the new playground, but I decided to take them to our new house. I showed them the backyard and went to the upstairs where all the boxes were and the contractions started. Within 20 minutes the pressure was unbearable and now the girls were screaming. I thought I could drive but as I got up I felt the urge to push. I just sat down and had to breathe. I started squatting.

I got the phone and called my husband and sister, but my husband had turned his phone off and my sister's voicemail picked up. Now the girls were yelling about the new playground but they didn't understand. Finally I got on all fours and swayed. My nieces were so mad. They called 911, but the urge to push came and I pushed and pushed. I yelled, "The head is crowning" and they heard me. With one loud grunt the baby was out. The ambulance came 3 1/2 minutes later!
