After the Birth
Geogia was born in six minutes. The birth was relatively easy after three live births before her. I blamed the tiredness due to having other children, not knowing what was to happen next. My husband was worried about me so he called the local midwife. It turned out that I needed a blood transfusion of three pints of blood and then antibiotics because I was severely ill. I felt really tired because I had my fourth daughter not knowing I was at death's door.

It was only four weeks later that I was still bleeding. My husband suggested that I go to the doctor's because something was seriously still wrong. The following day I went for a scan and found out there was a shadow. So I went to the hospital for an operation and it turned out that my cervix was still dilated and there was still some afterbirth left in me. I feel cheated because my fourth daughter was born at home and this should have been a memorable time, not one at which I cried because I could not remember her first two weeks of life because I was so ill.
