When I was pregnant with my first daughter at 18 I developed real bad pre-eclampsia. During delivery I was having problems breathing. After I had her everything was fine so I got to go home the next day.
Later that afternoon I found it harder and harder to breathe. I was rushed to the emergency room. My oxygen level was 42 percent. I was immediately taken to ICU. There they found I had pregnancy-induced cardiomyopathy, which is when your heart is enlarged and I had fluid in my lungs and around my heart.
After medication I was released after a week in the hospital. Four months later I found out I was pregnant with my second daughter. Once again I developed pre-eclampsia.
Delivery went fine. Or so we thought! Two days after I was home I woke up and was basically blind. I couldn't see anything. I was once again rushed to the hospital. After many tests they reached the conclusion that I busted a blood vessel in my brain while I was in labor. My blood pressure was around 140/185. Extremely high.
After being blind for two days, my vision slowly came back. The doctors are still not sure what caused me to lose my vision.
Now I am 36 weeks pregnant with my third, a boy. This pregnancy has really been different! I hope and pray there are no complications! I am having contractions, but they're not making me dilate yet. I go back to the doctor Monday, so we'll see if anything's changing down there! I feel like I've been pregnant forever! I basically have!
My oldest is 30 months and the youngest is 16 months. If anyone would like to, they can e-mail me. I could use some prayer and support! I don't think I would've made it through the other two pregnancies without the prayer and support from my husband, family and friends!
