Our Baby
I was 22 when we had our little girl. My boyfriend and I didn't believe in marriage so we stayed together for more than four years. We decided to have a baby. I wanted a boy; he wanted a girl. So either or was fine with us.

What was surprising was I found out I was pregnant on our anniversary. That was a wonderful gift to my boyfriend.

All along the 8 months we were doing fine. He took good care of me, and we were excited. Until one day I woke up and felt my water break when I was brushing my teeth getting ready to go to the diner for some breakfast. Of course after that happened we didn't go anywhere. I didn't want to go to the hospital yet because I didn't want to stay there the whole time. So my boyfriend decided to let me stay home until the contractions got strong.

We went back to bed and took a nap until this sharp pain woke me up. It was unbearable. I woke my boyfriend up because I was in so much pain, not knowing it was contractions. My boyfriend rubbed my belly to make me feel better. It got worse. I was screaming in pain. He asked if I wanted to go to the hospital now. I said, "I want the baby out now" because I was in that much pain.

I walked around the house and took a shower. Thirty minutes after I finished showering I had the feeling the baby was on its way, so I was thinking I don't think I can make it to the hospital. So I went back to the bed and lay down. Not long after I was lying down in pain my boyfriend checked up on me he said he saw the head crowning. So I pushed. Fifteen minutes later our little Lilith was born. She was a beautiful girl.

Our second baby is on the way and is a boy ! I am considering a home birth because it was a lot easier and comfy at home.
