I was 18 and in November 2006 and had been dating my fiance Jeremy for three years. We had been engaged for 6 months when I felt very different for a few weeks. I went to the doctor and there I found out I was already 13 weeks pregnant. He was surprised I just came in. I later found out I was due in September 2007. We were planning on have the wedding in May.
The pregnancy went off without a hitch and we got married in May like we had planned. It was weird fitting into my dress very pregnant.
We figured we had three weeks before the baby would come, so we planned a trip to my husband's dad's place out in Florida and were 45 minutes away from the nearest hospital with no one around for miles, which was really nice to get away from all the noise of the city.
We started the trip at 7 a.m. on Friday and the whole way I was having small cramping, but I thought that it was due to the length of the time I was in the car. It took us until 2 p.m. to get all the way up there, and we stopped once in a while to eat and pee.
When we got there it was an amazing view, and we unpacked. I was still cramping a little and after a small nap I woke up and the cramps were gone.
The next morning I woke up at about 1:45 a.m. to really bad cramps and I decided to walk around. Forty-five minutes later I felt a gush of something and a really bad pain and knew that my water had broken. I called for Jeremy and he rushed over and I told him the baby was coming.
I decided to start a bath and have the baby there. When I got in the tub Jeremy looked between my legs and said he saw the head. I pushed for quite a bit of time and finally little Jayden Christopher made his appearance at 3:05 a.m. We wrapped him up and rushed to the hospital. There we were both good and weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces on August 14. After a little time and me convincing the doctors we were allowed to go back to his dad's place.
We stayed up there for a week and finally went back home.
