• Nineteen-year-old – 26 1/2 Hours
  To start off, I started getting these weird pains in my stomach and lower back on Friday, the 3rd of December, 2004, at around 9 p.m.
• Thirty-one Hour Labor – Whew
  So my birth story goes something like this – I was 41 weeks pregnant, my mucous plug started on the Wednesday and on Saturday early labor started at 3:30 a.m.
• Thirty-hour Induction
  When I was in my early 20s, I spent a week in ICU because of blood clots in my lungs. At the time, the doctors said I would need to be careful if I ever got pregnant.
• Forty Hours, He Has His Daddy's Lips
  My midwife said if I had labored in a hospital, I would probably have had a Cesarean. My 9-pound son, however, was born at the foot of my bed after 40 hours of labor and five hours of pushing with Apgar scores of 9 and 9.
• Eighty-six Hours Later I Have a Beautiful Girl
  Early hours of Monday morning I woke up to a completely soaked bed. I got up, went to the bathroom and rang my mum.
• A Tough Delivery
  My husband and I were only married one year when I found out I was pregnant with our first child. I remember our first anniversary.
