Premature Birth
Hello. My name is Tonya. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at 33 weeks. She weighed 3 pounds, 13 ounces at birth.

I was home in bed and had to get up to go to the bathroom. Then I went back to bed and then went back to the bathroom again and screamed for my mom to ask her what it feels like when your water breaks. Then I knew it ruptured. I was scared to death, so I called my doctor and he told me to go straight to the hospital.

I live in Clarksburg, West Virginia so they transported me to Morgantown, W. Va. to have my baby. Since my little girl was early, they had all of the equipment there for my daughter if she needed it.

I thank God each and everyday that there was nothing wrong with my daughter. She spent two weeks in the hospital and then I was able to bring her home. I had my daughter dry birth and no drugs, so it was very painful for me. We live 45 minutes away from the hospital, so I stayed at the Ronald McDonald house in Morgantown.

My daughter is now 15 months old and she is doing very well. We have been trying for another child since July and we have failed every month so far. So I have to go and see a doctor about this. If you have any suggestions please feel free to write me at TonyaAllen@aol.com.
