When I found out I was pregnant I was so excited. Then the morning sickness kicked in and I was miserable for 5 months. I ended up changing doctors during this time because I did not feel like I was being taken care of the way I should. I really liked my new doctor and they explained everything to me and answered all of my questions.
I ended up with toxemia during the last part of my pregnancy. I also went in to the hospital every Friday morning for monitoring and tests.
One of the days I was in the hospital for tests they decided to keep me because my daughter was showing signs of distress. When my doctor got there he decided to keep me for one week in the hospital and then induce me. So he walked out and I sat up to eat breakfast and Macee's heart rate dropped of the monitor. My doctor came right back in and said, "Never mind, you're having her today."
Less than an hour later Macee was born by Cesarean section. I was very nervous about the C-section but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I didn't even feel the spinal block going in and as soon as it was in I felt nothing. The nurses had to lay me back. There was pain afterwards but they would give me pain medication when I asked for it.
I got up and walked around the next day. I also had them take the catheter out during the night because I felt like it wasn't going into the bag. They said that was just my bladder functioning normally again. But they did as I asked.
When I got home I drank lots of water and rested, and my incision healed perfectly. You can barely see it now.
