I became pregnant with my second child nine months after my first delivery. As my pregnancy progressed, I discussed a vaginal delivery with my doctor, which she readily agreed to and which I attempted. I was not informed about the possibility of a uterine rupture and had never heard of this happening before, but that is exactly what happened when I tried to push. A rupture occurred at the sight of my previous C-section!
The doctor was not present, and there were no other ER personnel to deliver my baby. All we could do was wait for the doctor to come 30 minutes later to deliver my baby. She went too long without oxygen. She was severely brain injured, with damage to the brain stem and central nervous system.
I had a miscarriage eight months after her birth.
When she turned 3, I delivered her brother, but with a placenta previa. He came in the 8th month.
Victoria was my daughter's name, and she died when she was 3 years and 12 days old. Her brother arrived the day after her funeral, so he is a real blessing. He is now 3. Their older brother is 7 1/2 years old. So even though we lost our beloved daughter, we still have two wonderful sons who are real blessings!
